I love to shop online. There’s something intensely pleasurable about making a few keyboard strokes and then…”Whoomp! , a week later a package materializes on your doorstep..Online shopping strikes a perfect chord with the lazy side of me..Who would want to spend a much earned weekend in this scorching heat of Delhi shopping, when you have an option of getting the same things done just a click away. I still believe that Online Shopping in India is evolving fast and has the potential to grow exponentially in the times to come, as the internet penetration reaches far and wide across the rural area. Traditionally customers in India are pretty conscious in their buying habits. The common mentality of touching and feeling the products before buying and the price savvy customers would also like to squeeze in an economical deal for themselves with appropriate price negotiation with the vendor.
With time there came a concept of tele shopping with a a Splurge of products like (raksha kavach, rudraksha mala )etc which had a specific target audience. And we have also witnessed mall culture where we can get everything under one roof besides other benefits of going to a mall. and then came” virtual mall or online shopping” .Online shopping has its pros and cons. I am wary about implications of carrying out online transactions due to security concerns. But, since I wouldn’t prefer to stand in those long and cumbersome queues (and keep pondering as to ‘Mera number kab aayega?’) with my busy schedule, I would like to latch-on to online bill payments.
With modernization and in this fast paced world with hectic schedule people prefer to save the most precious commodity “time” and thus their inclination towards online shopping is increasing.
