Green Computing is a method where we use computers and peripherals in the most environment-friendly manner possible, so as to remain cost-effective. It includes saving of energy, reduction and/or management of e-waste, maximum utilization of available resources, purchasing energy efficient PCs, printers and other office equipments, etc.

We abide by all this consistently to turn our work place more pleasant and compatible with the environment.

In whatever you do, consumption of energy resources is an inevitable fact. To curb the same, we take following measures that not only help us in lesser carbon emission but also add to the esteem of the people associated with MyGrahak.

• Using energy-saving lamps & sensor-based lighting in back offices
• Giving our clients CDs instead of paper dossiers and eliminating the need for paper at events by using laptops for data entry
• Keeping up with regular maintenance of all mechanical equipment
• Cutting lighting and heating costs, using less packaging, streamlining transportation to save gas & recycling more instead of throwing away
• Other in-house initiatives include recycled water in washrooms for flushing, segregation of office waste (plastic vs. paper) and disposal through authorised agencies, auto soap dispensers, switching off air-conditioners and lights at 7pm sharp, etc.

Everything that's done under MyGreen Way points at a single purpose reducing carbon footprints of MyGrahak. Using materials that have been sourced sustainably and working on ideas that result in least energy consumption, MyGrahak lowers the impact of its activities on the environment and in particular climate change.

From its green vans to energy-efficient resources placed in-house, we have been able to step forward & walk many steps towards being loyal to the earth.

"Recycle, Reuse & Reduce" is a mantra that we follow sternly to keep up our green promise. Recycling paper, plastic, ink cartridges; reusing packing materials and cardboard boxes; using double-sided printing whenever feasible are some humble acts espoused by MyGrahak and its core team.

Following are the points that come under our employee participation program:

• Employees are urged to contribute suggestions to reduce carbon footprints
• We encourage the staff to adopt measures like car-pooling to save resources
• A store meeting is held once every month to share new green business practices with our staff
• Solicit input and offer employees incentives for submitting green ideas. Rewards are granted to those staff members who choose to walk, bike or use other alternative methods to get to work
• Insist employees to set PCs to power-down when not in use
• Gifting plants to employees on birthdays
• Conducting MyGrahak Meetings where methods of conserving water and electricity, recycling paper, and reducing the use of cartridges form an important part of the discussion
